  • The School of Drama participates in graduate and college fairs, holds MFA audition workshops, and visits high schools and pre-professional theater training programs around the country, in Puerto Rico, and in Canada.

  • MFA Acting Audition Schedule

    In order to audition, you must have a completed New School application on file, including your Acceptd submission. The completion deadline is January 10. Once your application has been received, you will be contacted to schedule an audition. Audition dates will be posted on the Drama MFA Auditions website once the schedule has been determined.

    Visit Our Campus

    Our campus visit program is an opportunity for prospective BFA students to tour School of Drama facilities and learn more about the BFA in Dramatic Arts. Register above to schedule a visit or join a tour.

    Official Auditions and Interviews

    Applying to the New School for the BFA in Dramatic Arts is a three-step process. All applicants must complete

    1. The New School Acceptd Application
    2. The Common Application for The School of Drama
    3. A live audition and/or interview (in person or online)

    Scheduling Auditions

    Once you have submitted your Acceptd Application and The Common Application, an admission representative will send you a message through Acceptd to schedule an audition/interview using the Acceptd Scheduling Tool. This is the only way to schedule an audition or interview. Audition dates and locations can be found on the Drama BFA Auditions website.
