I Wish We Were Perfect For Each Other But Then We Wouldn’t Be Ourselves

I Wish We Were Perfect For Each Other But Then We Wouldn’t Be Ourselves
I Wish We Were Perfect For Each Other But Then We Wouldn’t Be Ourselves is a multimedia sculptural exploration of the concept of coalition politics. The work acts to literalize the idea of communities organized and ultimately strengthened by people who recognize and honor the differences among people. By employing various forms of materials and modes of working, my thesis represents the idea that a community is its most unified, powerful version of itself when the members within it honor and acknowledge the differences between neighbors.
