The brief for my project entailed partnering with Nudie Jeans Co., a sustainability-responsible Swedish denim company, on the design of a new store. My client’s goal was to bring greater awareness to their renewed products. These products, created from their customers’ used denim, are remanufactured through eco-friendly processes. My design strategy calls for a new off-shoot denim line, named “Re-Nudie Jeans,” to be sold in a concept store carrying only the renewed denim line. The store’s design improves and expands upon the existing retail design and branding. Added now is a keen focus on sustainability and healthy materials, with onsite sewing repairs prominently featured and denim art installations on view to complement the space and messaging.
