Beastie is a play-based learning organization that specializes in designing EPIC adventures. The goal of my project is to co-create a new way of doing inner work that enables us to build our emotional playground. We imagine a world where no feeling is left behind. In my proposal, FeelingsFirst is the foundation enabling us to create this new world. Feelings aren’t random; they are messengers. And we know that we need to befriend them to let go of all that limits our evolution. Emotions are energy in motion. When they get stuck, they produce a number of ripple effects in our lives and ultimately lead to dis-ease. What do we do about it? We tune into our Beasties to help us name our emotions, tame our unconscious reactions, and adapt to our untamed emotional world. The mission of Beasties is to transform the emotional world through a play state of mind. Our “secret sauce” is a new emotional language that uncages emotional charge and allows us to come clean with one another about our wild side. We all want to learn from our mistakes. Failures and blow-ups are opportunities to do things differently, to iterate, modify, and evolve.
