My project, lingual, is a collaborative zine for and by children of immigrants in the United States. Playing with and expanding the realms of zines and Web design, lingual is a safe space to share experiences navigating multicultural identity and engage with our unique social, political, and historical contexts. With lingual, I hope to push more expansive ways of thinking around immigration and identity along with examining and putting into practice the ways we as children of immigrants can stand in solidarity with both fellow immigrant groups in America and people in our homelands. Issue 1 is centered on language and the unique ways it can serve as both a barrier and a means to connect with heritage and histories. To view lingual, visit lingualzine.com.
