Areaware X Product Design

Areaware challenged Parsons students to design an inexpensive gift item that fit with its accessory line. It was an opportunity for students to understand the real-world constraints of producing a retail item for under $30. Students worked with Areaware to design, prototype, and package an object, taking an idea from concept to the store shelves.

Three winning designs were included for sale in their 2015 collection and were sold at retail outlets nationally, including the MoMa store. Finalist Prism sold out
