Project 1: BLUE IS THE WARMEST COLOR

Inspired by Japanese philosophy Wabi-sabi, this collection focuses on small details of imperfect beauty: painted edges, recycled vintage denim and exposed construction details. With these details, Suye was able to infuse her work with a more human quality.

Project 2: FIREFLIES IN THE CITY 

This collection was inspired by New York City at night. Suye referenced architecture for her silhouettes and focused on the lighting aspect of skyscrapers when making her fabric and trim selections. Her choice of reflective trimming also serves as a functional detail, embodying the busy city lifestyle, for her clients who bike and skate.

Project 3: UNDER THE SKIN

This collection was inspired by British painter Ian Mckeever's painting method and thinking outside of standard garment construction. Instead of buying existing fabrics, Suye designed one-of-a-kind surfaces and textiles with the intention of creating an intimate moment between the users and the garments. The overall mood is expressive and pliable.
