Stella Evans

Русская (pronounced "russkaya") is the feminine form of the word "Russian." This work is a series of collages addressing Russian identity and the meaning that it holds through the legacy of my family. I present three generations of Russian women: my grandmother, my mother, and myself. This is about changing what people see and think of my country. It is about reflection. It is about matrilineage: daughters, mothers, and Mother Russia.
