Using a collage of personal anecdotes and materials, the piece speaks to the feeling of possible utter failure or success that pervades New York City. It is also a humorous reference to my possible future in New York City after graduating from the MFA Fine Arts program. Collage is my way of producing and thinking. Acknowledging the context and the space for which it is made, my project combines mediums and objects (fictional or real) with the purpose of achieving different visual rhythms within the same piece, as well as to force associations with the intention to stretch and unfetter the possibility of new scenarios within the existing ones.
