    Advising
KRAHM is a holistic production system for men's footwear that addresses the decline of the Thai footwear industry because of rising labor costs. Designed to reduce the incidence of athlete’s foot resulting from Thailand's tropical climate, the shoes incorporate antifungal materials that breathe and absorb sweat, protecting the feet and eliminating the need to repeatedly apply less effective traditional remedies.

Khram is the Thai name for an indigo plant with alkaline properties that neutralize the acidic environment promoting the growth of the fungus that causes athlete's foot. The plant is used to dye the cotton fabric for the lining of the shoe. KRAHM also includes multipurpose packaging for transport and storage in the home that promotes ventilation and proper maintenance to prolong the effectiveness of the shoes.

KRAHM is much more than a shoe: It is a production system that employs Thai footwear artisans and suppliers and uses local materials. KRAHM promotes the well-being of both the Thai people and the Thai shoe industry.
