In my project, titled Pass, I explored the way a piece of furniture can promote rewarding interactions at mealtime. I re-imagined the dining surface as a single collective plate. The table top is made up of modular plates that can be passed, slid, or flipped to use the flat wooden underside. The plates are inset into the table, which serves as a gathering site where people can engage with others.
