The City We Might Have Been draws inspiration from the construction scaffolding seen on the streets of NYC. Combining traditional basketry from rural China with 3D printing, the installation juxtaposes two locations. The organic bamboo fiber strips lend a new visual idiom to the metal and plastic scaffolding ubiquitous in the NYC landscape.
