The rapid development of information and digital technology has changed our relationship to daylight, the built environment, and its social context. Technological components have extended our biological capacity, causing us to make more complex moves through the world. However, the space of the city, epitomized by the rigidity and orientation of the Manhattan grid, does not sufficiently address this change, particularly as it relates to the transit needs of inhabitants and the ability to receive and output information. A network of intermodal transit hubs is proposed at fifteen key intersections on the Manhattan grid to meet the needs of contemporary bodies. The interconnecting hubs form a system to accommodate urban patterns in the state of continuous transformation and information exchange.
