Air Pearls
Statement: Air Pearls are a fun way to hydrate during air travel. Each set consists of Air Pearls, made of a plant-derived gel, and serving tools. Problem: Although traveling by plane can be pleasurable, staying in a passenger seat for hours is demanding, physically and mentally. The humidity of the air, at around 20 percent, is well below what is comfortable for humans. Solution: Air Pearls are made from H

from watermelon, apple, tomato, and cantaloupe. The serving tools, a spoon and plate, are made from agar and biodegrade in four to six months. (The idea was inspired by my grandparents, who forget to hydrate and don't enjoy the plain taste of water. I responded by developing a fun way to hydrate.)
