Mengyao Xiong

The L.I.N.E.S. collection was inspired by the architecture and the atmosphere of New York City. Massive buildings and skylines merge together to form a dynamic illusion of indescribable beauty. To achieve this effect, I used double-sided pleated silk, in black and white. The completed garments are like well-structured buildings, capable of three-dimensional movement. The collection represents a combination of static and dynamic forms, of toughness and softness. The collection is meant to be simple but sophisticated. To support the sustainability of our planet, care was taken to select organic or recyclable fabric and no portion was wasted.
