Lina Xie

This collection is inspired by the religious and political conflicts between England and the Irish Republican Army in the 1970's, particularly the "Bloody Sunday" massacre. Such deep psychological divisions between groups often escalate into war and tragedy. I use nature to represent these human relationships. The final garment uses intricate embroidery and weaving in textiles to represent the deep conflicts and complex histories between factions.
