Lenna Keshishian

New York Meets Armenia

My project, New York Meets Armenia, brings together two distinct cultures, mixing products of Armenian culture with objects created in New York City. It presents weaves, baskets, and wall hangings, works combining tradition and modern technology. The materials and methods, reflecting vastly different origins and connotations, have been used to create hybrid pieces that represent dualistic identity.
