Tales of a non-country

'Tales of a non-country' explores themes of vicarious memories and the shaping of historical narratives and national identities, focusing on Lebanon. It is a series of photographic images built around the idea of chapters. Some of the images aim to question the idealized nostalgia of the Lebanese golden age of the 1960s by using archival images found online and altering the viewing experience by creating ominous obstructions. Other images were photographed on the ground over the last few months and document the everyday wounds that people bear, which many refuse to discuss.
