True North

As Anne Frank put it, "Whoever is happy will make others happy too.” I designed this app with the aim of helping individuals lead fulfilling professional lives by aligning with their true north and inspire others as well.

True North is a well-being app designed to let professionals record and track their work experiences. The target audience that inspired this app is designers and freelancers who constantly struggle to find wellness in their professional lives.

They can use the app to reflect on their project experiences and document them quickly, gaining insight into the way they felt physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually during a project. They can also write about takeaways and important lessons they have learned. Recording their experiences also helps them identify what worked and what could be done better, enabling them to decide what they would like to do, what to avoid, and whom they want to work with in the future.

The app presents a quiz and then uses the results to generate data visualization in the form of arrows. The arrows are guided by a north star—the user's true north. The aim of the visual is to allow the user to see where they stand in individual projects and how they fit into the bigger picture. The app offers ways to compare various parameters and assess the user's professional journey.
