Janus
The Janus, named after the god of progress, revolution, and change, represents the human ability to go above and beyond. This capstone is my answer to the question: How do you define authenticity? The Janus represents humanity’s ability to invent and to take things to a level never before seen, overcoming limits on what interior design can be. When given a prompt, AI gives you the possible best solution on the basis of existing information. However, it will not give you something that doesn't exist, like a fully detailed interior design of a four-dimensional space station. The product of four years of study and growth at Parsons, The Janus embodies history, science, and of course, the human desire to go places that were once unreachable. This project is not just another capstone but a representation of how far we've come and how much further we will go. The sky used to be the limit, but now it can be our home away from home.
