Devoted

Advising
Devoted is an autobiographic novel about growing up in the Catholic faith. Separated by three parts — Piety, Counsel, and Fortitude — it tells the story of Raines’ childhood, teenage years, and early adulthood, swerving between devotion and doubt. The limited palette of black and gold symbolizes Raines’ dance between the two. Devoted grapples with religious indoctrination, Catholic guilt, and the separation between religion and faith.
