My practice combines references to architecture and furniture design with the traditional artistic vocabularies of sculpture and expressionist mark making. I create wall-bound and freestanding sculpture from materials such as colored Plexiglas, scratched wooden beams scratched, and plaster casts of body parts. These elements signify both utopian avant-garde movements like Soviet Constructivism and non-hegemonic living structures.
