The title of this project is Trend Suggestion for SS 2018 season for Ciline. The goal of the project is to analyze current fashion trends and take that to Spring/Summer 2018, with an eye to what might remain or transition and what may be phased out. I chose to suggest trends for the upcoming Ciline collection because of the brand's elegant and comfortable minimalism. Below are the four trend themes: 1. Back to Nature Sustainability has become an issue in every industry, including the fashion industry. Fast fashion has created large amounts of non-biodegradable waste in past years. To deal with this problem, I suggest using sustainable and ecofriendly materials and natural dyes. 2. Underground Wave The streetwear trend is no longer limited to youth culture. Many luxury fashion houses want to be part of the current trend, as shown by the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Supreme. Streetwear continues to lead fashion trends worldwide. 3. Defining Shapes Adding unique structures when making garment patterns or designing prints can be an effective way to avoid a typical minimalist look that might become boring. 4. Color Blocking The skillful use of tone on tone and tone in tone is a trademark of Ciline's designs. If brighter colors are used in design details, they could produce an even more dramatic collection.  See more on issuu .
