In the postmodern era, music has become chaos. No longer is there a clearly defined mainstream genre; instead, music today is a potpourri. Not only are the genres and definitions of music blurring but due to the evolution of technology, the methodologies of getting attached to music are also meeting dramatic changes. How can we define or describe the 21st-century soundscape? In this project, I examine genre, geography, and ratings with the goal of the music scene in the modern era.
