The Hack is a support system and a refuge, designed as an homage to the journalists, photographers, and camera operators who dedicate themselves to free expression and transparency in news coverage. Each quarter, The Hack will house two media workers on its premises in New York City. For the duration of their residency, the media workers will stay on the second floor of the building in spacious living quarters, including a private office and a shared viewing room in which they can work. The first floor will serve as a venue for dinners and casual gatherings hosted by the media workers, at which they can engage with colleagues and the public.
