Elyse Johnson and Zacry Spears

Bull Market

Bull Market is a series of post-human performances created by Elyse Johnson and documented by Zacry Spears. For the performances, Johnson and Spears visited the NASDAQ building in Times Square. Once on site, Johnson beer bonged three 20-ounce Red Bull energy drinks while wearing a concrete suit and elastic "anti-gravity" mask. Bull Market is a meditation on super-capitalism, infallibility, and deicide. The work exists across a wide span of physical gestures, spiritual narration, and daily financial investments in the American Stock Exchange.
