Light Environments

This thesis explores an experimental use of light to create both architecture and habitable conditions in the Arctic circle. By applying new technology that gives light a tangible quality, the potential of light extends into the realm of building material to create a safe, comfortable and sustainable environment for a research facility in Alert, Canada.
