    Tonya Blazio-Licorish

    Profile

    Tonya Blazio-Licorish is an author, visual culture historian, archives editor, and educator with expertise in fashion, culture, and society. She holds an MA from NYU and explores these fields through an interdisciplinary lens, reconnecting archives with curated storytelling to sustain brand equity. 

     

    Her book, “Black In Fashion, 100 Years of Style, Influence and Culture,” co-authored with WWD, examines Black creatives’ contributions to fashion evolution. 

     

    Tonya lectures locally and internationally, teaches courses in Fashion, Costume, and Cultural History, Leadership, and Merchandising, and is the curator of the Fairchild Fashion Museum. 

     

    Her byline appears in Women's Wear Daily (WWD), Footwear News (FN), Sourcing Journal (SJ), and Rivet.
