Profile
Tom McGlynn is an painter and multi -media artist, writer, and independent curator based in the NYC area. His work is represented in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Cooper- Hewitt National Design Museum of the Smithsonian, among other national and international institutional collections. He is a contributing writer to The Brooklyn Rail and maintains the poetry blog, seeing/saying. He is also the founding director of Beautiful Fields, an organization dedicated to socially- engaged curatorial projects. A recent project “Memphis Social” was awarded a franchise grant from the New York -based organization supporting independent curatorial projects, apexart.
