Susanna Moyer

Profile

Susanna Moyer is an entrepreneurial creative director, business executive, and educator with a distinguished career spanning global fashion, brand strategy, and academia. She is widely recognized for her ability to merge creative vision with business acumen, having led multi-million-dollar brands, developed strategic growth initiatives, and elevated design teams to drive measurable business results.

With extensive experience across both womenswear and menswear, Susanna has held key roles at prestigious fashion houses including Christian Dior Paris, Liz Claiborne, and Hickey Freeman. Her career reflects a deep understanding of the global fashion landscape, shaped by collaborations with industry leaders and a commitment to innovation and excellence.

Over the course of a decade, Susanna founded, designed, financed, and managed all operations of her namesake collection, achieving significant commercial success. The brand was carried by leading luxury retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, as well as more than 250 specialty stores worldwide.

In addition to her industry leadership, Susanna is deeply engaged in advisory and nonprofit work. She has served as Creative Director on the board of Council of Asian Designers of America (CADA), and contributes to organizations such as the Issachar Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Career Gear, which supports men entering or reentering the workforce through professional development and personal empowerment.

Susanna’s academic career reflects her commitment to shaping the next generation of fashion leaders. She is currently a Part-Time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design, teaching in both BFA and MPS programs, and an Adjunct Professor at Fashion Institute of Technology. Her teaching emphasizes sustainability, ethical practices, and innovation in the global fashion industry. She has also developed sustainability-focused curriculum as a Visiting Professor at American University in Paris and has lectured internationally at institutions including LIM College, Virginia Commonwealth University, FIDM, Parsons Paris, and Wenzhou University.

Susanna holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and a Master of Professional Studies in Global Fashion Management from Fashion Institute of Technology, reflecting her dual commitment to creative excellence and strategic leadership.
