Sally Chung

Profile

Sally Chung is a designer, start-up builder, and advisor based in New York. Most recently, Sally was the venture lead of experience design at BCG.X, the tech design and build unit of the Boston Consulting Group. At BCG, Sally launched 12 new digital businesses across industries spanning healthcare, insurance, energy, and consumer goods. Previously, Sally co-founded HelloAva, an AI-powered beauty platform, and created Saks Fifth Avenue’s first mobile and social experiences as a founding member of the digital team. She has collaborated with Fortune 500 clients in fashion, consumer goods, healthcare, travel, and insurance throughout her career. Sally is passionate about educating and cultivating a community for the next generation of designers. She teaches at Parsons & SVA focusing on interaction design, and runs the Designpreneurs Hackathon, which brings designers and entrepreneurs together. Sally is a judge for NYU's $300K Entrepreneurs Challenge and sits as a global mentor at the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator in NYC. Born in Seoul and raised in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Sally received her BFA in Communication Design from Parsons.
