Profile
Peter Mallo received his BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit in 2001. He received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York in 2005. Peter has exhibited his sculpture, drawing, and painting, nationally and internationally. In addition to his art practice, he also serves as Chief of Framemaking at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. In this capacity he is deeply involved in research, design, engineering and fabrication. Peter is a practicing luthier who designs and builds multiple custom guitars. In his spare time he enjoys making paints and inventing new tools.
