Dr. Nina Edwards Anker, Assoc. AIA, PhD, is an architectural designer with over 20 years of industry experience, including founding and directing nea studio, a small design collaborative working in interiors, architecture, sustainability, and wellness. For 12 years Nina’s practice, based at the New Lab in Brooklyn, has specialized in creating sustainable spaces and holistic environments for wellbeing. nea studio combines cultural, collaborative, and environmental strategies focused on solar design, health and material research. Working closely with team members and specialists, Nina continues to expand and deepen nea studio’s research, design and practice in the areas of social/environmental justice and the production of recycled/ biomaterials in furniture and lighting for LEED homes and workplaces.
