Molly Brodsky is a design educator, facilitator, and researcher. Rooted in an ethic of co-design, she develops participatory objects, processes, and gatherings that attend to emergent relations and systems of care.   

Molly’s work explores social maintenance and repair, embodied time, systems thinking (and systems feeling), and collective imagination. Her transdisciplinary research draws on writing, ritual, food processes, workshops and gatherings, archival practices, installations, walking, and systemic design to create immersive knowledge-making spaces.  

Emerging from her work with decarceral, food justice, and climate equity movements, Molly’s facilitation practice uses systemic design and co-creative approaches to help organizations and teams engage in collective sense-making and adaptive, strategic design. In the classroom, she works with place, the body, and time as collaborators, guided by her experience in ethnography, sustainable agriculture, and wilderness backpacking. Outside of Parsons, she has taught courses on food studies, interdisciplinary practices, and design and the public.  

Her current project centers on the 1969 Freedom Seder — a ritual meal co-hosted by Black and Jewish Civil Rights activists one year after Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. With her collaborators at the Archival Solidarities Collective, she activates workshops, archival research, co-designed ritual meals, and speculative futuring to explore embodied solidarity-building practices.
