Kathrin Henon

Profile

Kathrin Henon is a multi-talented individual with a diverse background in economics, graphic

design, fashion, and business. She received her AAS Degree in economics in Germany in 2008 and later obtained an AAS as a graphic designer from a top performing school in Germany in 2010. In 2014, Kathrin earned her BFA as an international fashion designer, culminating with a final show at the Adlon Hotel in Berlin during Berlin Fashion Week.

Following her passion for fashion, Kathrin relocated to New York City and founded her own

fashion brand, Kathrin Henon LLC. She also worked for the luxury fashion house Dennis Basso, where she had the opportunity to design dresses and coats for renowned celebrities like Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and supermodel Naomi Campbell, as well as collaborating with singers such as Mary J. Blige.

Kathrin's own fashion collection was featured in Soho's fashion collective ‘Flying Solo’, where she showcased her designs in runway shows and received recognition from notable publications like the New York Times and local news outlets.

After several years in the fashion industry, Kathrin decided to pursue a BBA in Business at

Parsons the New School. There, she specialized in Strategic Design and Management with a

minor in coding. During her studies, Kathrin developed a passion for food, innovation, and

sustainability. Her final project focused on creating a marketplace, similar to Etsy, to support

independent pastry chefs and promote personal health. However, when the pandemic struck, Kathrin had to adapt her business model. She developed her own health food pastry, a nutrition-rich donut, which gained immense popularity.

Encouraged by its success, she established a consumer packaged goods company called

Planet Bake, aiming to bring these nutritious donuts to a wider audience. The company has

secured pre-seed funding and enjoys support from both family and friends.

Today, Kathrin is actively selling her nutrition-rich desserts across the United States and has

ambitious plans for expansion. Her journey reflects her resilience, creativity, and passion for

combining innovation, sustainability, and culinary delights to make a positive impact in the food industry and people's health.
