KAREN RIPPY

Profile

Karen has been a part-time faculty member in the School of Fashion since 2005. She has additionally been an adjunct faculty member at the Pratt Institute since 1999, the Fashion Institute of Technology since 1991, and at Katharine Gibbs School/College between 2002-2008. She has worked at companies such as New York School of Design, Jupiter’s Muse, Martha Colon, Ying Li. Jack Murphy Loungewear, Gilead Lingerie, N. Edelson and Sons Lingerie, Lamani Dolls (a self-owned company). She has a number of department, committee and contributions at the university level including serving on the Assessment and Tenure/Promotion Committees at FIT. She has won various awards including in 2013 the “AFD Faculty Award” from the School of Fashion at Parsons. Karen received AAS and BFA degrees in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
