Profile
Julian Guthrie, a fashion designer/patternmaker and an educator, has worked in the fashion industry for over a decade. Employing both traditional and emerging technology as methods of patternmaking and design development, Julian utilizes a range of skills: handwork; Photoshop; Illustrator; Clo3D, and KeyShot.
Presently, he is a freelance 3D virtual technical designer/patternmaker.
He has also worked for brands such as: Telfar, Chloe Colette, Fleur Du Mal, Occhii, Autumn Adeigbo, DiOMi, Coach, The Donna Karan Company, J. Crew, Perry Ellis and Calvin Klein Women’s Collection.
Concurrent with his industry work, he is also a part-time instructor at Parsons where he also earned both his BFA in Fashion Design and MFA in Fashion Design & Society degrees.
Additionally, Julian was the creator of the Clo3D Virtual Fashion Design certificate here at Parsons, and is currently the BFA Fashion Technology Coordinator for the School of Fashion.
