Joseph McPartlin

Profile

Originally from suburban Detroit, Joseph studied Fashion Design at Michigan State University. After moving to Los Angeles, he began working in fashion production as a production coordinator and manager. Eager to pursue other interests he began the History of Design and Curatorial Studies Master’s program through Parsons and The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum where he studied his passions; design, film, popular culture, and everything in-between. After passing his exams with distinction he won the Outstanding Student Award for the Class of 2018. He immediately began teaching in Parsons' Art, Design, History and Theory Department. He continues to teach at Parsons while working in fashion production and guest lecturing at New York School of Interior Design.
