Joni Storgion-Knight

Profile

Joni Knight is a dedicated educator and accomplished designer, known for her eclectic and modern design sensibility. She currently shares her expertise with students at Parsons, where she emphasizes fit, fabric, and a hip aesthetic, incorporating rich colors, graphic prints, and luxurious fabrics and yarns.

 Joni graduated from Parsons School of Design and embarked on a successful 20-year career at Ellen Tracy. As the VP of Design and Product Development, she played a pivotal role in making Ellen Tracy a top-performing women’s ready-to-wear designer resource at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, and fine specialty stores nationwide.

  After her tenure at Ellen Tracy, Joni reenergized the better collections of Kasper, Creative Design Studio’s Kate Hill brand at Lord & Taylor, Liz Claiborne, and GIII. She has a broad proficiency in design and brand development for women, men, and juniors across various price points, from moderate to designer markets. Her portfolio includes work with brands such as Rani Arabella, Martha Stewart, QVC, and Todd & Duncan. Currently, she runs her own design consulting company, Joni Knight Design.
