Profile
Joel Stoehr is an Assistant Professor of Design at Parsons School of Design and the Director of the BFA Product Design Progam at Parsons. Stoehr maintains a studio practice as a visual artist and designer. Selected exhibitions include Pierogi Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Randolph Macon College, Ashland, VA; Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Rare Gallery, NY, NY. Stoehr received a BFA in painting from Maryland Institute College of Art in 1998 and an MFA in sculpture from Cranbook Academy of Art in 2001, and studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, ME. Stoehr formerly assisted on construction projects with the Parsons Design Workhsop from 2005-2009, and acted as Construction Faculty for the Parsons Design Workshop from 2009-2014, and as Director for Design Build Projects within the School of Constructed Environments from 2016-2019.
