Ira Robbins

Profile

Ira Robbins is an artist, graphic designer, illustrator and principal of Ira Robbins Design. He is responsible for art direction, design, illustration and project management for a wide range of projects including promotional and advertising design, education, corporate communications and fund raising. He has designed for clients as varied as Lincoln Center for The Performing Arts, Columbia Artists, The International YMCA, New York City Ballet, Barnes & Noble, Museum of The City of New York, Con Edison, Ballet Hispanico, Pressman Toys, and others.

A student of Milton Glaser's, Ira was a founding partner of Start Studios working on branding projects for companies such as Walter Reade, and Sterling Films.

Teaching on the graduate and undergraduate levels for over twenty years, Ira has taught graphic and advertising design, digital design, typography and imaging courses for Parsons The New School of Design, School of Media Studies at The New School for Public Engagement. Teaching Drawing and Imaging at Parsons, his paintings, drawings and prints are included in private collections and he has exhibited his paintings and prints.

MA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Illustration.
