Holly Blondin has been an Adjunct Professor of the MS Strategic Design and Management Program at Parsons since Fall 2014 teaching Design Research and New Design Firms. She has also developed and facilitated Design Thinking intensives for Parsons Paris for PUIG.
Founder of Arts Meet Bizness, Holly develops, leads, and facilitates educational programing for business and design schools, and entrepreneurship centers in NYC and Barcelona. Her customized programs focus on creativity + innovation methodologies to bridge the gap between creative and business mindsets and practices. Recent institutions and entrepreneurship centers include: Iona College Hynes Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Long Island University Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Virtual Enterprises International, IED Barcelona, EU Business School Barcelona, and the Culinary Institute of Barcelona (CIB).
Last Fall Holly co-authored a paper published for the ICDHS 10+1 BARCELONA 2018 Conference titled Communicating in the 21st century: new materials as creative boosters with design colleague Silvia Escursell from ELISAVA.
As a Cultural Resident at Fabra i Coats Art Factory in Barcelona, Holly continues her research on creativity and the impact that varied creative practices and processes have on our emotional intelligence. She is working to develop her own methodology and a multidisciplinary program to grow imagination capacity. She successfully delivered the first prototype last November.
Previously a practicing performing artist (1997-2002), Holly performed in over a dozen professional productions in the USA and Europe. She also designed and launched a greeting card line. After earning her MBA Holly began a professional career in marketing and branding. She now utilizes her professional experiences to help her students overcome the challenges they face when balancing creativity and business.
Holly's teaching approach concentrates on challenging students to grow their potential from their unique values and experiences. She fosters a classroom of co-creation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
Holly holds a BFA from Western Michigan University in Musical Theatre Performance, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College NYC. Holly is a Cultural Initiative Resident at Fabra i Coats Art Factory in Barcelona with The Creative Experience Project.
