Binna Lee

Profile

Binna Lee is a designer and researcher whose practice is grounded in embodied cognition and the Perception–Emotion–Behavior cycle. She investigates how spatial environments — physical, virtual, and algorithmic — shape human perception, emotion, and agency, and translates these findings into interaction systems for XR and AI-mediated contexts.

Her work spans research through design, wearable interaction, and spatial computing. She is the founder of Team Echo, whose XR project Echo was exhibited at ACM SIGGRAPH 2024 Art Gallery, and lead researcher and designer of Insight Realm, selected for the IMPULSE Programme at Immersive Tech Week 2026. She also conducts research on the cognitive and developmental impacts of XR design on children and youth at XRSI — The Child Standard Initiative.

Binna has been invited to speak at the Royal College of Art, Seoul National University, London Design Festival, and XR Guild, among others. She serves as Vice Chair of Women in Design, IDSA NYC.
