Profile
An architect by training, Anthony is a co-founder of the MFADT program and was the program's first director. His recent courses include Design Studio, Thesis Studio and classes in immersive media and VR. In his professional work, Anthony helped found The Lab at Rockwell Group and has been designing and building immersive environments and media installations since 2004. Anthony's recent clients include Central Park, the NYPD, NYU Langone Health and the World Trade Center.
A graduate of the Cooper Union, Parsons School of Design, and the New School for Social Research, Anthony's post-graduate ressearch work is in narrative environments. Anthony's architecture thesis was authored in VRML, a form of real-time immersive digital technology that predates today’s gaming engines. With a diverse set of interests, he has a second master degree in History and Anthropology focused on the history of American relations with China and Japan. Anthony has several design patents, and his work has won the Cannes Gold Lion among numerous awards and recently was listed in Interior Design Magazine's 100 Top Designs. Anthony also served as a member of the EPA’s Gowanus Community Advisory Group, and co-founded Gowanus By Design, a community based urban design advocacy.
