    Currently: Senior Vice President, Heritage Auctions, New York; Former Chairman and CEO of Salmagundi, New York's oldest artist's club; Board Member, Appraisers Association of America Inc (AAA).  Parsons part-time faculty member since 1984. Auctioneer, author and decorative arts professional for over 40 years. Considered the country's leading authority on the work of Rene Lalique. Decorative Arts Department Head and Auctioneer, Phillips Fine Art Auctioneers, NYC; Vice President, Department Head and Auctioneer, Sotheby's, NYC; Adjunct Professor, Bard Graduate Center, NYC. Appears frequenlty as an expert appraiser on PBS television "Antiques Roadshow" since the first season. Books include "Lalique Glass" (1986), "Majolica" (1989), "Art Deco" (2005) and "Bespoke Mascots" (2014). Lectures widely at museums nationally.  Articles published regularly in numerous websites and publications, including "CNN.com", "Intelligent Collector", "Cigar Aficionado" and "Wine Spectator".
