In this certificate program, you learn to use the industry-standard fashion design software Clo3D for design development and presentation. This software eliminates the need for a traditional sewing studio and reduces consumption of materials.
Your study of Clo3D enables you to create virtual 3D samples using best practices and workflow, providing you with basic knowledge of patternmaking and digital pattern files. You learn how to instantly modify patterns, fit, and fabrication, with the ability to view changes in colors, prints, and graphics. Finally, you create a presentation-ready 3D environmental space with high-quality rendered images and animations.
Students typically complete this certificate in one year.
Courses must be taken in the order in which they are listed.
Master the fundamentals of Clo3D, industry-standard software used for virtual clothing and soft-goods design and digital patternmaking. You learn how to use the software to create virtual 3D samples and generate patterns that can be printed.
In this course, you delve more deeply into sloper development, dart manipulation, pleats, gathering, and smocking. You learn how to import pattern files from other programs, trace patterns from images, and export files for printing.
Learn how to create colorways and edit textures, prints, graphics, and embroidery. You also learn how to create custom trims and become familiar with hardware.
This course enables you to create spaces like virtual showrooms and stores, develop animated runway presentations, and customize and style avatars.
It opens up so many possibilities when you stay on top of current technology, period. It can really cut down on costs and it can be a huge time saver. To me Clo3D is revolutionary.
