Public and Urban Policy (MS)

Driven by a passion for developing innovative and sustainable solutions to society’s most challenging problems, Paola currently serves as a donor relations officer at UNICEF México. In this role, she fosters partnerships that channel catalytic capital investments into development projects in marginalized communities across Mexico. These projects significantly improve children’s lives by expanding access to essential services like water, sanitation, health, nutrition, and education.

Paola previously worked as a policy consultant, a role in which she facilitated collaborations between diverse stakeholders including government entities, private firms, and academic institutions. She coordinated international efforts to improve online safety for youth and spearheaded collaborative projects that bolstered government responses in New York City and Mexico City during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Paola holds a master’s in public and urban policy from The New School and a bachelor’s in international relations from the Autonomous University of Mexico. She credits The New School with significantly broadening her capabilities, stating, “The New School equipped me with a new and specialized skill set, empowering me to leverage fresh abilities in the workplace and across diverse project management initiatives. These encompass essential skills in policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and finance.”
