    Public and Urban Policy (MS)

Kathryn Turner is an influential figure in affordable housing development, with more than a decade of dedicated service in the sector. As a senior community investment officer at the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH), she strategically evaluates supportive housing markets and manages loan underwriting in Texas, Georgia, and Florida.

“My work involves crafting innovative financial solutions that not only foster the creation of supportive housing but also ensure its sustainability and effectiveness for communities that need it most,” Turner says.

Before coming to CSH, Turner served as the assistant director of Housing Development at the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Agency. There she was pivotal in administering the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program and other vital federal housing initiatives, improving housing accessibility and quality across the state.

Turner holds a master’s degree in Public and Urban Policy from The New School, where she broadened her ability to address urban challenges. “The New School was more than just a stepping stone; it was where I learned the true value of policy-driven solutions in real-world contexts,” she says. Turner’s career is a testament to her deep commitment to improving housing policy for communities that need it most.
