    B.M. in Piano Performance (magna cum laude) from Indiana University School of Music: M.M. in Piano Performance SUNY at StonyBrook. Piano studies with Jorge Bolet, Gilbert Kalish, Claude Frank, William Masselos. Fellowships, Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood, Yale Summer School of Music and Art. Chamber music performances through the U.S and abroad, including Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Miller Theatre (Columbia University), Cleveland Museum of Art, Leighton House (London), St. Paul’s Chapel (Trinity Church Series), Mostly Mozart Festival, Kosciuszko Foundation. Soloist with Terre Haute Symphony and Hunter College Symphony. Lecture recitals throughout the US and Canada on Charles Ives and on women composers. Member, Eckert/Gilwood Piano Duo, Trio della Luna. New music performances with The Beehive, Composers in Red Sneakers, New York Women Composers, and New York Composers Circle. Numerous premieres. Founder/director of Pianophoria! Recordings for Cambria Master Recordings, Leonarda, and Ravello. Former faculty, Hunter College, CUNY. President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, Hunter College, 1998. Mannes Preparatory Division piano and chamber music faculty since 1983. Ms Eckert's prize-winning Mannes Prep students have been accepted to conservatories such as Oberlin, Juilliard, Thornton, and Mannes, and summer programs at Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood, Cleveland Institute of Music, Interlochen and Greenwood.
