Faculty

Ms. Park Kim is a unique Violinist and Violist who comes from a musical family. She is an active performer, and a committed and successful educator as a Violin and Viola faculty member at Mannes Prep. 

Ms Park Kim has performed extensively throughout the world. She has given Solo Recitals and Chamber music concerts at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Mozart Haus Wien, Schoental, Salzburg, Krems, Weikersheim, Como, Paris, London, Leipzig, Berlin, Tokyo, Milan, and Seoul since 1997. 

Jinyoung shares her passion for playing violin and viola with younger musicians. Many of her students have been accepted into Juilliard, Mannes, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Institute, and Boston College with scholarships. 

She completed her pre-college and bachelor’s degree in Konservatorium Der Stadt Wien Austria. She finished her master’s and postgraduate degrees with perfect scores at Hochschule Für Musik und Theater Rostock, Germany. During her stay in Germany, she won the sponsored violin “Joseph Rocca“ from Prof. Petro Munteanu. 

She came to America to pursue her fervor as a musician. She earned her Professional Studies Diploma covered by Merit Scholarship at Mannes College of Music with distinction. Ms. Park Kim has performed in Masterclasses given by Zakhar Bron, Michael Kugel, Dora Schwarzenberg, and Orion String Quartet. Her exceptional teachers were Choong-Jin Chang, Daniel Panner, Petru Munteanu, Leonid Sorokow, Alexander Arenkow, Thomas Christian, Wolfgang Sengstschmid, and Jae-Kwang Song.
